18 MEI 2010. - Akkoord tussen het Koninkrijk België en de Republiek Palau inzake het aanknopen van diplomatieke en consulaire betrekkingen, afgesloten door het uitwisselen van diplomatieke nota's (Manilla, 22 maart 2010 en 18 mei 2010)

Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Manilla B1.5 Note N° 280 The Royal Belgian Embassy In Manila presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Palau and expresses the desire of the Belgian Government to establish diplomatic and consular relations with the Republic of Palau on the basis of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 18 April 1961 and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 24 April 1963.

Being desirous of strengthening the friendly relations already existing between the two countries in the framework of the United Nations, the Kingdom of Belgium would like to exchange diplomatic representatives at Ambassadorial level.

The affirmative reply to this Note will constitute an agreement on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations at Ambassadorial level between the Kingdom of Belgium and the Republic of Palau, being effective from the receipt of the affirmative reply.

The Royal Belgian Embassy in Manila avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Palau the assurances of its highest consideration.

Ambassade van het Koninkrijk België in Manilla B1.5 Nota nr. 280 De Ambassade van het Koninkrijk België in Manilla biedt het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken van de Republiek Palau haar complimenten aan en drukt de wens van de Belgische Regering uit met de Republiek Palau diplomatieke en consulaire betrekkingen aan te knopen op grond van het Verdrag van Wenen inzake diplomatiek verkeer van 18 april 1961 en het Verdrag van Wenen inzake consulair verkeer van 24 april 1963.

Geleid door de wens om de bestaande vriendschapsbanden tussen beide landen in het kader van de Verenigde Naties te versterken, zou het Koninkrijk België diplomatieke vertegenwoordigers op ambassadoriaal niveau willen uitwisselen.

Een bevestigend antwoord op deze Nota vormt een instemming met het instellen van diplomatieke betrekkingen op ambassadoriaal niveau tussen het Koninkrijk België en de Republiek Palau. De datum van ontvangst van het bevestigend antwoord geldt als begindatum.

De Ambassade van het Koninkrijk België in Manilla maakt van de gelegenheid gebruik om de verzekering van zijn bijzondere hoogachting jegens het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken van de Republiek Palau te hernieuwen.

Nota N°. 030/MS/2010 The Ministry of State of the Republic of Palau presents its compliments to the Royal Belgian Embassy in Manila and has the honor to affirm the Embassy's Note N° 280, dated 22 March 2010, regarding the establishment of diplomatic and consular relations between both countries at Ambassadorial level.

The Ministry has further the honor to suggest that the date of theis reply note (May 18, 2010) shall constitute the official date of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Republic of Palau and the Kingdom of Belgium.

Nota nr. 030/MS/2010 Het Ministry of State van de Republiek Palau biedt de Ambassade van het Koninkrijk België in Manilla zijn complimenten aan en heeft de eer Nota nr. 280 van de Ambassade van 22 maart 2010 met betrekking tot het aanknopen van diplomatieke en consulaire betrekkingen op ambassadoriaal niveau tussen beide landen, te bevestigen.

Het Ministry of State heeft daarnaast de eer te bevestigen dat de datum van deze antwoordnota (18 mei 2010) de officiële datum zal zijn waarop diplomatieke betrekkingen tussen de Republiek Palau en het Koninkrijk België worden aangeknoopt.

Het Ministry of State van de Republiek Palau maakt van de gelegenheid gebruik om de verzekering van zijn bijzondere hoogachting jegens de Ambassade van het Koninkrijk België in Manilla te hernieuwen.
